I have been neglecting my blog. I've been thinking too much, questioning things too much, a lot of things have been going on in my wacky wacky brain. I will spare you all the nitty gritty details, but I'm pulling out of the March show and am going to focus on the off-season. This is what I need to do.
I did not drop enough fat. Simply put. Some things just aren't meant to be. Pre-existing plans, my budget, and my unwillingness to travel to compete makes a slightly later show date impossible. I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed, but it is what it is. Bummer.
I'm going to try to concentrate on the silver lining: The first fall show is smaller, closer, and more convenient. There are also shows soon after that are within less than 3 hour driving distance. More importantly, I did get lean enough to see what body parts are really lagging behind. Now I can spend more time working on those. I can do some damage in 3 months worth of building. :-)
Peace, Love, and Chicken Grease.

You should still show us some muscle photos :)
I was hoping to see you there. Maybe next year. Or if you are doing a show in KY this fall, I am sure I will be there. I love going to the shows.
I am glad you are content with your decision. I am sure it was a difficult one.
I know that this was a difficult decision to make; it's a bummer right now, you're right, time is on your side and you are going to hit it bigger and better when the time is right. I pulled out of a show in 2005 for many reasons, some of which were the same, and it took me 4 years to be ready (and still, am I ready? who really knows?).
So you go girl. Hit the weights hard the next few months, and make sure you're all set for yoru fall diet to start on time. This will also hopefully give you some time to save/budget. I am going to be blogging about my contest costs soon - I have been keeping a running list but didn't want to blog about it until it was all said and done/paid for.
Do what you gotta do, right?
I do agree with Krissa though, some pics would still be nice! :)

Hey ladies!! Thank you for your support! If I hop up on that stage without confidence, it will surely show. I can't put myself through that kind of torture! LMAO!
I got the pics thing covered. I'll have to do progress pics for my next prep. Any extra bit of motivation helps!
KRISSA: Are you still going to the northern? I may still go... I will have to see if the hubby is game.
BECCA: Thanks girl. I'm very disappointed, but it is what it is. I've learned a lot, and while I'm bummed, there are no regrets.
And you are definitely ready! In fact, I think you are ahead of the game. Go show'em who's boss! ;)
